Mike Thomson is the President and Chief Operating Officer of SunCoke Energy, Inc.
Mr. Thomson joined SunCoke Energy in March 2007 as executive vice president and was named executive vice president and chief operating officer of SunCoke Energy in January 2008.
Prior to joining SunCoke, Mr. Thomson served as president of PSEG Fossil LLC, a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) where he was responsible for a portfolio of 12,000 megawatts of fossil-fired generation, engineering and construction, and machine shops. He was previously president of PSEG Global, which developed or acquired $4 billion in generation and distribution assets in twelve countries including direct and joint venture operations. Prior to joining PSEG, Mr. Thomson worked at Corning, Inc. in several positions in manufacturing, corporate planning and development.
Mr. Thomson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from Villanova University, an MBA in Finance and MS in Accounting from Syracuse University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
