Mark Newman is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SunCoke Energy. He joined the company in March 2011 from Ally Financial, Inc., where he most recently was vice president Remarketing and managing director of SmartAuction, a leading internet vehicle auction. Prior to joining Ally Financial, Mr. Newman held numerous positions with General Motors Corporation (GM) including vice president and CFO of North America; assistant treasurer, director of Investor Relations; and, CFO of Shanghai General Motors.
Mr. Newman began his career with GM in Canada as an industrial engineer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
